Default 2020 Super Duty

https://media.ford.com/content/fordm...ty-pickup.html

In metric:

Max towing up to 16,800 kg

7.3 V8 petrol with 320 kw / 645 Nm
6.7 V8 diesel with 355 Kw / 1,423 Nm

Not too shabby...

Nice F.
Not sure I would want to tow to the maximum on juice brakes with an automatic.

That 7.3L engine is interesting - I wonder what it's dimensions are compared to Coyote? Being OHV it will probably be narrower.

I think the initial info suggested as much when it was announced, but there's nothing lightweight init so could be quite a bit heavier

It's still small block dimensioned, and with alloy heads, composite intake manifold etc i'd say it would be no heavier than any comparable Windsor.

Fit's nicely in a Fox body too.

From what I've read, it's narrower and lower than Coyote but longer. I haven't seen any figures for bore spacing, but the 6.2 with a 4.015in bore has 4.53in spacing. 7.3 has a 4.22in bore which is just a shade under what the 427 FE had

Officially Ford are calling it a small block.

It was quite revealing that during the engineer's discussions at release, that the term turbo grade was used quite a bit. Pistons, conrods and inconel exhaust valves etc.

They used a lot of heavy duty parts in it to ensure durability. And which will also make it well suited to boost.

Wonder if they were planning on selling them as crate motors to enthusiasts as well?

But as it needs to be run in a truck (really a heavier duty ute) ... and used for decent towing purposes ... its built for reliability in mind as well.

I'm sure they will consider it. Many people have asked the question already over there.
