Default How much do you....

Spend on fuel per fortnight?

Dunno if has been done?

Post up what car you have, what type of fuel and how much you spend & how much you drive.

Car: 1998 EL GLi (Stocko)
Fuel: Premium...But now I run V-Power
Driving: I drive about 30 a day when I'm working (To and from work) & weekends, Not sure, over 100km though.
How much: Spending about $120 a fornight. Less sometimes. I usaually get 450km out of a full tank

Car: 2003 WRX
Fuel: BP Ulimate
Driving:

Balance of hard boosting and off boost. I probably put in $100 a fortnight but I don't use anywhere near that much.

I only do it to keep it well above 1/4 mark because it has a tank on either side of the drive shaft and if I corner too hard I could risk running a pump dry.

I probably get about 420kms to a tank on average. The best I have got was 500kms. This is all city driving.

Because it is a 4cyl, if you don't boost it you can get good economy. But I can't go longer than 20 mins without putting the boot down ;)

HE HE what's this "off boost" you speak of?

I go through about 30 to $50 per week as my girl hardly gets driven.

Oh Mitchay you shouldnt have too many issues with fuel starvation (on the street) the issue only becomes a real problem at the track, head into a left hander hard and the pump runs dry and as you are powering out then you run out of fuel and lean out cylinder 2......POP goes the weasel!!!

EL XR6 - About 55 litres a week for 350km or a little more. Don't get it below 15 litres/100km in the city.

Charade-$35 a fortnight and about 400km. Bit disappointed really. Probably be better if I kept if off the rev limiter, at 7250rpm!
Verada-$65 a fortnight for about the same Kms. Wife drives it.
Hiace-$360 a fortnight! Only get 300km per tank, 50L. What do you expect for a 2006 Hiace auto doing courier work in Canberra? Gotta love the corprate fuel card : . As a matter of interest, one of our Sydney guys will fill his Sprinter every 2 days. At 60L a time.

Car: 1985 XF Falcon, extractors, redback exhaust, a few other things... ;)
Fuel: LPG and Min 95 octane premium so it doesn't ping on petrol.
Driving: Varies, but usually at least 200km a week, if not more. Some spirited, some grandpa, some highway, some city.
How much: Usually about $35 a fortnight, that's for a full tank of LPG and about $10 worth of petrol, and I don't usually use all that fuel - I just hate having my petrol gauge flash at me, and usually only do about 70kms in the fortnight on petrol.

Car: 94 ED falcon futura
Fuel: BP 98octane
Driving: highway
Per fortnight: Well every 3-4 days is $70ish worth, so 70x3.5 = $240.

Do about 80km's a day (to and from work) as you can probably guess, i'm looking for a place to live closer to work

I drive my F6 in varying conditions and in the way F6's are supposed to be driven.
I haven't kept a log of BP Ultimate usage but it's enough to make my BP 5% discount card worthwhile.

I have had my 96EL for about 5months and have not had to fill her up from zero.
Yesterday I put in 34.64 litres of LPG and after a coles docket it cost me 12 bucks and the tank was not on half way. That was the first time I have filled her in a fortnight normally I put in LPG everyweek .
I just put in normal unleaded about 10 bucks every 2 to 3 weeks hard to tell as I can not get a reading when set on petrol .
The car is really only used to drive me to work or the footy and the wife drives her when she does not want to use her petrol in her telstar .And work is like 12 minutes away in the morning and about 15 minutes to get home.
Now I was driving a 2.6 lt 1980 sigma to work and I was putting in 40 bucks a week and that was mainly only going to work and very little other driving use.A big ouch.

That card is an interesting thing.

A $79 annual fee means you have to spend over $1580 per year before you break even from the 'savings' on fuel.

The maximum fuel based saving is on $300 of fuel per month, which is a saving of $15, thereby $180 per year. Take the annual fee away and then you're down to $81 a year.

Or a maximum saving of $6.75 a month.

I have a 92 EB Sedan, Auto bog stock. I run it on Premium Unleaded. Using around $70 bucks a week (full tank) and travel around 600kms on a tank to and from work every day. I live around 40kms from work so its a 80k round trip each day. But i am getting great fuel economy from it so it doesnt bother me too much.
