Angry XB Coupe Owners are Bogans!

Now that I have your attention, did anyone catch the article in the Sydney Daily Telegraph today on Eric Bana and his coupe? He's entered it into this years Targa Tasmania. Anyway, the story goes on to say that the XB coupe is a car that only a bogan could love! How rude :jab:

So I drive a VT Commodore and I'm rebuilding an XB coupe. I'm double bogan! Fantastic.... :

Good thing the newspapers report nothing but shite :

The car even made an appearance in Hot Rod magazine a couple of months back. He's done a fair few mods, should go all right

Yeah, my VT serves me well, and I'd probably trade it on a newer Commodore if I had the dollars. But I spend all those dollars on the coupe!

Must be a lot of rich bogans out there, didn't realise centrelink was so liberal with their fortnightly payments
(NOTE: this is a stab at the newspaper not XB Owners)

Really nice car, but I don't think the bogan comment was necessary.

Have you ever noticed that women either love or hate XA/B/C hardtops?

Yeah I have RIPGMH... fiance HATES them. I told her she needs her eyes checked, that earnt me a smack on the back of the head.

Thankfully the car buying is up to ME so we avoid buying gay or girly cars (e.g. MX-5).

Anyway, 9 out of 10 bogans prefer to drive Commodores, its a universally-known fact. Preferences usually sway onto VN or VP models though some of the more affluent bogans are driving later models such as the VY.

True bogans - the ones I see everyday when I walk part CentreLink (or whatever it's called) - own cars that are too old to be considered by most people even as a secondhand car and too new to be "collectable". An XB coupe is not in that category. Besides .. how many XB coupes can you steal in shopping centre carparks for parts??
