Default How can I get rid of car wreck (Falcon)

Hi, guys. I have a Ford Falcon 2002 AU III Forte Sedan. I smashed it when I lost control at a rainy day. I think it is not worth repair but most of the part like engineer is still in good condition. And it also has a new spare tyre. Could anyone give me some advices how can I get rid of it and get back maxium value form it? I am in Melbourne.

The condition of my car is in the below: http://www.oztion.com.au/OA/oa_previ...picnum=1#mypic

Maybe keep it advertised for sale with a negotiable price and in the mean time start taking off parts and sell them on eBay. It'll keep you busy for a year. Regularly update the original listing to mention what it doesn't include as you sell the parts.

Just an idea.

Remember to list it in our Parts For Sale section as well.

Guys, thanks for the information. Unfortunately, right now I parked it in the street near where I am living. I will move soon. So I have to get rid of it as a whole. :(

A wrecker will take it away for $50, look in your local paper classifieds?

Edit: Oops sorry, I know you want max value from it. I guess just keep trying to sell it as a wreck, all you can do?

Insure it and park it at Dandenong Plaza.

Seriously scrap steel prices are going through the roof at the moment - you might find someone thats willing to pay you a small amount and take it off your hands

Try an auction yard. They will hold the damaged vehicle until it is sold.

That's a bugger because you could have cut it up and turned it into a BBQ :
