That's a really stupid thing to say. I'll take my Prado off road, thanks. But I'm amongst the very VERY small percentage of 4WD owners that ever takes them off bitumen. Read my post again - I'm not talking about fuel economy. I'm talking about power output.

I meant a vehicle designed to go off road, not one that particularly has to. Off roaders are big and heavy and need torque to get moving, more so than power.
