A hand built engine built to tight tolerances such as these won't like being flogged to the limit without being bedded in. Particularly when cold, which no doubt happened.
It's no mass produced lsa.

I know of one Miami that was driven straight from the showroom to the dyno. It lunched itself.

Limiters are setup for run in and warm engines.

Um yea na doesn't really cut it.

Got anything to back your yea Nas up?

These are virgin blocks to the best of my knowledge.

Even the racing blocks I used to run had been bedded in for 100 hours prior to being built.

Google my username, you will find plenty.

Doesn't matter how much fat you have in a tune, to suggest that you flog any new motor like you stole isn't best practice. I would be asking for a new motor which the gentleman apparently got.

2.4l v6 @around 385hp each @the props.
Upgraded late 92 with 2.5l slightly more hp and much more torque.

To the best of my knowledge it's still running today under a different name, I sold in 93 after my accident.

Sounds pretty nuts. I see a few recreational ski boats with stock 2.5L ho 250s that leave my 220hp sterndrive in the dust. I'm guessing well over 100mph was it's happy place? I'm still satisfied with the 60mph mine does set to kill mode. Water feels much faster then roads in my opinion.

Very old school now, new boats are running legs with TT big blocks @140mph with skiers.

Best I ever got out of her was running in a pair of 2.4's @120mph.

After 30 minutes of running in for PB. :P
