This guy has a few videos of him taking ownership of his 2020 gt500 a few days ago another with ford installing some of the bodykit and today taking it down the quarter mile, best was a 10.6.

Nice bit of kit off the showroom floor.

That's a bit of a Ford PR fix, he got one of the first 15 GT 500s delivered
even though it was not ordered through a dealer. Word is he comes from
a wealthy family and has connections high up with Ford.

So i see this as Ford showing what the average guy in a GT 500 can achieve on a good track.
I wonder how the Harrop DJR Mustangs compare to this level of performance, maybe pretty close?

Good on them. I've only watched his last two videos and his done a pretty good job with the camera work when showing the launches and sound quality is good. Good exposure for the product.

You mean Herrod.
The level of engineering gone into the 500 is on another level. I wouldn't compare Herrod's or any other aftermarket job to this.

Sorry, yes I meant Herrod..
The 500 is a hand built / assembled engine but the rest of the car comes down the same production line.
The engineering that's gone into the Herrod cars is also developed primarily by by Ford.

I don't know much about the Dick Johnson special, but we know the work that's gone into the Shelby's 5.2 block, heads, and internals, and the amount of cooling it has ensures you're able to run out of fuel and tyres at a track before going into limp mode (like we've often seen happe even with the Ford Motorsport kit) . Then there's the latest gen magnetic shock thingos that normal Mustangs don't have but the greater difference is the DCT, which itself has proven to be better than most other DCTs out there.

The Shelby is a legit track car but also doubles as a docile grand tourer.. from all that have reviewed it the impression is Ford have done an excellent job in getting the car to cope with 760hp.

Besides all that I'm actually mesmerized by it.

All this is pointless because it want come here :(

Back to the video. I love the flybys at the end. That thing is rapid.

Which is why continuation of the Herrod vehicle development and stopping
the vehicle going into limp mode is where local development comes in...

I wonder if the DCT will become available in Mustang as a track option.....

Evolution performance just put one into the 9’s. Not sure on mods but it has been tuned by lund. Looks mostly stock. Might have slicks.

Revan evan’s channel on youtube has the video.

^^above 2 links were good viewing. Watch ivorya's first (20 minutes though). Coupeking's directly related to ivorya's link, but only 2 minutes long (side by side of Porsche GT3RS & GT500).
