Maybe to go slightly off topic but... I wish there was insurance for avoiding hitting another car and damaging your own.
I've nearly had it happen to me. I was driving in a suburb and had a car turn in front of me like I wasnt even on the road and thanks to some excellent reflexes I managed to slide around the front of him and up on the curb avoiding hitting his car. Now I have damaged my front lip spoiler.
Now its my fault because I did it on purpose to avoid an accident, so its not covered by insurance. However if I had of just driven into the side of the car I would of been covered but caused a lot more damage so the insurance company would of paid out more.
Now I've thought of "if it ever happened again" I would just drive into the other car to make sure I was covered but common sense and instincts for survival make you try and avoid an accident so thats why I wish there was insurance for intentional damage to your own car for avoiding accidents insurance.
It really annoys me because the guy you avoid has no damage to his car but you do and you pay out because of his error.
