After reading a post on here about the ACT goverment setting asside funds to get a strip up there. It got my thinking if anyone on AFF would be really good a writing a letter or email to Mike Rann selling him the benefits and importance of having a safe & controlled drag racing strip OPEN in Adelaide (Word Smiths welcome to apply for this unpaid job in money terms but if this letter/email is the catilist imagine the feeling of achivement). We have the land unlike the ACT which seems to be a major sticking point atm. I know there is a legal bum fight going on with AIR but surley if the SA state goverment was pushing for it. It might happen quicker or atleast happen compared to what we have at present.
I know a catch cry atm is get hoons of the street which i totally support. But for people that want to participate in Legal Off Street drags in a contolled enviroment, there should be a facility there are plenty of places in Australia with a smaller population than Adelaide & they are able to provide this facility. Am I asking too much? (Bearing in mind it is Christams) :
