Default Thermo v belt driven fan/s?

I did a little seach and could not find much information on this.

I am fitting a 302 Windsor to my XY falcon. Am thinking thermo fans instead of the traditional bel driven fan. I can see that there should be power gains from using thermos over belt driven fans just by the fact that the belt will cause, however little, a resistance.

Also if I were to do thermos it would be my thinking that dual fans are better than a single as if one fans fails at least the other one will still cool.

Anyone find a reason to talk me out of doing this?
