I think the last part has been answered by their sales figures over the past few years. Many of them never came back, and sales are a fraction of what they were at their peak 5 years ago.

But that's the thing, they are worse than other cars. The reliability rankings prove it year after year. But in saying that every manufacturer has quality faults.

The Mustangs seem to be pretty reliable, they just have issues with panel alignment, which is not a reliability concern. That's a fit and finish issue, which they really need to improve.
