The other option could be to go older and cheaper and build the car to how you want it. S13's are cheap as chips nowadays and perform pretty well. I couldnt bare to sell my car now anyways, its way too much fun at the moment. :eclipsee_

EVO 5 or 6 are much cheaper than the 7s or a WREXY!!!

i reckon the best way to figure this out is to drive them all. if its track day squirts your after then id go a turbo MX5.. everything is cheap to upgrade because the car is so light
example... a full metal pad, and slotted/drilled rotor will have greater effect on an mx5(or similarly weighted car) than on a heavy one... performance gains are easier in a turbo car than a NA (up to a point) exhaust,boost intake, fuel pressure and timing advance will give you 50% more power easily not to mention semi slicks are expensive but tend to last longer on a lighter car.... go the mx5 turbo... and my second pick would be an escort with an sr20det.... wave as you pass cars 3 times the price!!!!!

Friend just bought
1979 Porsche Carrera 2 Targa Engine updated to 3.2 ltr 94/95 with same 94/95 manual box. Goes like stink, roof down motoring, whale tail, Simmonds wheels. All up, $22k

S15 200SX or RZ Supra would be my pick.
If I had to choose? RZ Supra. Then modify it to the point of everytime you put the keys in it you are rolling the dice as to whether you will live to tell the tale! They can be blisteringly quick! |
