Good work russ,

FPV have had a much better year thanks to that $40 million, sales have bounced back bigger than 2010,
Sales of V8s dominate with 1,288 lucky S/C buyers being 78% of FPV's business but I-6T has dropped to 361.

I wonder, maybe get rid of the I-6T and just build a NA 5.0 V8 instead for an all V8 line up, couldn't hurt....
Surely, FPV would make more out of sourcing their own engine than a Ford supplied one...

I think it would be better left for when they wont be producing ANY I6's anymore, be that 2016, earlier, or later. Just have a 4 and 8 cylinder Falcon range.

It costs FPV very little to make the F6...I mean since FG what have they spent on it? I reckon the F6 should last until the I6 is phased out then when the time comes release a "fairwell I6" model.

Doubt F6 is costing them much. Also the sales should help the bottom line.

F6 will probably be fine until HSV responds, and how they respond. Basically when it comes time to invest further.

That would surely threaten the business case for the XR6T? I cant believe how much its sales fell this year.

Looks like Miami V8 is gathering steam. Can't wait for FPV to do a 500hp version.

Would be interesting to see XR8 sales from 2003 until it's demise, then compare it to GS sales.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a big drop with the change from XR8>GS.

It's good to see a bit of a recovery with sales - but the % growth of 47% isn't really a true indication.... Just means that they had a really bad year in 2010...

But - what is interesting is that they've had an increase in sales over the same period as the whole large car segment has dropped... and THAT is a big positive for the brand...

For the GT nameplate - it is the 2nd worst sales of GT for an entire year since FPV started building them... Which is a bit concerning... Given that everyone has been raving about the new 5.0lt s/c powerplant...

What I read - is that the 'E' cars (GT-E and F6-E) are really non events for sales, are they really worth having for the sake of 50 sales? They did away with the XR8 brand - which I am sure sold more than 50 units in a year.... (??)

Hmm... I'll do some more reading and analysing over the next few days.... but thats my first impressions of the data...

Great work again Russ...

I think the E cars need more tech and equipment to set themselves apart.

I think the f6 is a much sportier edgier car than a GT, and I dont have either, but I certainly wouldnt even want a GT. F6 though for sure. I dont think they would stop making f6s while there is an inline 6 available for them to use.
