If limits were set by the 85th percentile to be bordering on uncomfortable, this would happen naturally without intervention.

You only need to drive between three suburbs and see marked differences between road quality and speed limit, and wonder, do they even know what's going on. |

There are some horrendously dangerous roads in areas that should have been restricted but aren't it seems to me because some councils are too scared to act and admit that their roads aren't maintained to safe standards.

I thought the subject of this thread was about bureaucrats lowering reasonable speed limits, not morons blatantly disregarding the road rules resulting in deaths.
Correct but he is worse than a moron and raising or lowering or a speed limit will not stop this The reality with the case in dandenong road is he was on methamphetamines he has killed 3 people thus far it was an "80km" speed limit just saying that is who and what we share the road with http://www.drugfreeworld.org/drugfac...phetamine.html http://www.narconon.org/drug-informa...e-history.html Just so you get how bad this stuff is it was developed and used by the military to keep people alive and k i ll ing with no qualms Which is what they "meth heads" do - one way or another with a car or anything else handy |
