Clay towel

Gday,
I have to tell someone about the most amazing exterior paint rejuvenater I have ever used since I found clay bars and meguiars ultimate wax.
I went to super cheap and took advantage of there 25% off on the weekend and my store credit and purchased a Bowdens clay towel (it was about $40 but I paid $20).
The weather was ****** here so couldn't use it until today,so I washed the daughters bonnet with meguiars ultimate wash and wax hosed it off and then put a good sudsing over the bonnet and used the towel very gently and I do mean no pressure at all and within seconds it removed 2 years of contamination from the paint work.i then used meguiars ultimate polish then ultimate wax and I am stoked with the result.the paint/surface feels and looks like it's a week old.
I've used clay bars since 2004 with great results but this clay towel has just retired the clay bars.

I've used clay towels before, and i have to agree, they do and awesome job!

Going to pick one up next time I do a detail. I like clay, found it works well, but nothing is worse than dropping it and having to throw it away. It's almost guaranteed I will drop it.

Just don't drop it in the shower

Those using the towels, just make sure if it is new that you break it in on glass first for a few minutes. They are highly abrasive and will marr the paint a lot when new and fresh. The towels are great for removing heavy contamination quickly but if your car is in good condition and only needs a little contamination removing I would personally stick with clay. Its not as fast but wont scuff or marr up the paintwork as much.

Nice write up. I was always a meguires fan but I must say the Bowdens stuff i'm finding very good
The auto body wax is good , Lazy wax + Fully slick. The tyre stuff and the orange cleaner. Their towels are real nice as well is what i've tried so far .

Just got some of the special MF wash for the towels. I see the Big green sucker for drying gets pretty good reviews also

After reading your post I was concerned about the scuffing and marring of the paint.it did take a lot of research and consideration before I purchased the fine Bowdens clay towel,and in the 2 months of research I found no negative feedback.
So today I washed my daughters car with meguiars ultimate wash and wax and dried with a waffle micro fibre jumbo towel as normal.the day was fine and sunny and I scrutinised the finish from many angles and found no markings or marring at all.
