Wait, what? The NT has Drivers' Licenses?
Gees, next thing you know they'll be wanting people to register their cars.

In a fairness perhaps getting to a local testing centre would a major challenge for many living in isolated NT communities. Much easier for those living in major town in cities in other states perhaps with the exception of the northern parts and south eastern part of WA and northern and western parts of SA.

Free licence, well only for one-year, consecutive years you still pay.
Free license for only one year to value of $38 for ease of high cost of living. -1 year - no fee (previously $38) - 2 years - $28 (previously $58) - 5 years - $92 (previously $115) - 10 years - $178 (previously $198). |

Even the fines amount in QLD are excessive, it's like the QLD government looked at VIC and was like HOLD MY BEER! FINES? ILL SHOW YOU FINES!
Fines, rego, everything expensive. I think 10 year renewal was like $270 or something here. |

You can't get a 10 year licence in Qld, 5 years is max and its $198. The cynic in me says by only offering a 5 year means more revenue raised overall. My anus is already starting to hurt... |

Plus your rego scam of that CTP or whatever junk it is you have to add on, where as it's included in VIC.
My rego renewal on my ute was $613 and half of that is the TAC charge which is included in rego cost. Then there's QLD with their ridiculous cylinder count rego costs, going by their silly system then EVs should be free to register |

Ah yes, except if me and you agreed on pricing, the ACCC calls us a 'cartel'.

Well we do get 50c bus fares in Qld....gotta pay for them somehow.
IF only everyone else would use them so there is less traffic for me.... |

Like it would cost more to charge 50c fares than have no fees. |
