Highway + Lights = lights wear out quicker. LED's have a much longer life then conventional headlight bulbs. I, like many others, turn their headlights on when driving on the highway outside of town. Hence why i'm saying, DRL's reduce wear to headlights. Is there a problem with that? Edit: Plus if FPV/Prodrive are even thinking about UK exports, they are a legal requirement for all new cars sold over there now. |

I'm pretty sure they used the wheels off the M3 GTS for the chop.

Lol @ people calling LED a HSV thing...Expand your horizons! DRL make cars easier to see during the day, thats why they are comming out, and as usually they first arrive on the more expensive models before filtering down!

I can't believe that after an article like this one, the most pressuring issue is whether it should have drl's or not? How about the "351kw" motor? My god, Ford fans are the hardest to please in the world.......

Seeing the splitter on the front... Anyone know how many cars you have to sell of a model before you can homologate it for improved production? 351kw with W2A Intercooler for reliability, splitter for downforce, better brake ventilation, bigger brakes? |

Pure speculation that a 351kW Allan Moffat Special MAY appear around Bathurst, plus those spy pics of the test mule in Sweden...a whopping 1.5 pages!

the LED's look stupid & there is so much HSV inspired plastic, wings and bulk to the design. It would porbably look pretty tough in the flesh though.

Coyote is the American base version of the engine.
If we get a N/A version who knows what it may be called, but I bet people will still call it the Coyote though.

Sooooooo if you know it's not a coyote then why call it that?
Might be petty to some, but is it that hard?

"Easier to see in the daytime"...oh dear oh dear...obviously you don't realise the struggle we motorcyclists went through for years to overturn "headlights on" rules, which said that bikes had to have thier headlights hardwired on. My 2008 GSX-1400 hasn't got a headlight switch, just a "high-low beam" switch, so i don't have a choice...not that it seems to make pillocks see me any easier in traffic...
The law was going to require all motorcycles, new or old, to ride with thier headlights on, like it or not, whether the charging system on your old bike was ever designed to cope with a constant load day in day out like that, or if you just wanted, you know, a little freedom of choice... Be careful singing the praises of daylight running lights too much...it wouldn't take a lot for the idea to resurface and everyone would have to drive around with headlights on 24 hours a day. While the fight with motorcylists was going on, car owners were laiughing at us...not knowing that the government had already had discussions about expanding the idea to cars as well... Be careful what you wish for... |

It's good to have some positive publicity for Ford for a change. Even if it is just speculation and hot wind it's getting the brand out there for people to see in a good way instead of the doomsday crap that we usually hear
