*sigh* either way its quite a collection. But having them sit there to rot is just not cricket. I sincerely hope they all plan on being saved one way or another. |

i have been picking up any xr sedans wagons Utes etc that i can find since i was 20 which is a while ago the sole purpose was to get enough together to not only restore a couple but to also have the parts to keep them going i have spent hours searching farms backyards high and low picking up anything no matter what condition they are in i cant shed them all but i have saved many from being recycled as most farmers up this way have been getting good money whilst getting there farm cleaned up of all the scrap metal from metal recyclers maybe graveyard is the wrong term maybe it should have been retirement home but all these vehicles are all in some way projects being it restoration or parts to restore .here is one more this is my first car that i got my p plates in a while back now

Some good straight bodies there. You could sell them off as projects.

Most of the old stuff has been sitting around since moses put it there, yet noone has shown interest in it , or done the searching, and many complain that its getting scrapped I was talking to a local fella who goes to farms out here and does the cleanups,he got an old F500 truck that ran and was complete,to fit it on his trailer he cut it up with a gas axe and shipped it to sims To him it doesnt matter what it is, its worth its value in scrap Good onya for saving what you can .... |

Nothing sends a chill down your spine like being in a rural area and seeing a Simsmetal semi with a portable crusher on the back cruising around looking or victims...

yes you are right there rain is something we don't see to often and no salt where i am either could be a lot worse could be beside the sea . And as for the metal guys i had about 7 old Holdens given to me for parts or projects if i wanted utes station wagons sedans they were all F something but i never bothered to move them big job and now there all gone to Holden heaven ,i actually emailed a Holden club in Sydney and told them about them and no one even had the decency to reply so that was the end of that . One thing i have noticed over the years is that 9 out of ten cars i find are old Holdens the fords have been snapped up quickly i still know of old Holdens laying around farms but then again why would anyone want one lol TREV |
