Default Freighting engine wa to qld,

I am after some advice on transporting a 351 Cleveland engine from wa to qld. Has anyone had it done before and what was the cost involved and which transport companies would you recommend? I will have all fluids drained and it will be strapped and wrapped onto a pallet. The engine is in Mandurah, WA but I can have it dropped off to a depot rather than pick up from the house.

I have done a few online quotes but they seem rather expensive.

There is no set timeline as long as I get it in the next month or two.
Let me know your experiences and recommendations good or bad.

I sent a QS M11 from Sydney - WA once by a major transport company and they lost it for 6 months

Mate it's a long distance and a heavy bulky item perhaps contacting some one like QR or Pacific National and sending it break bulk.

I don't have details with me ATM but another option is sea freight on a costal vessel I've used one a few times and found it A LOT cheaper than the toll's TNT's etc

I'm drawing a blank on the name of the company I used but when I get home I'll dig it up for you, but they'll go from Fremantle to Brisbane (fishermans Island) you'll have to sort it to and from there

My guess you would be looking around $2000. Unsure of any companies tho.

If its packed and wrapped on a pallet or crate call Michael here http://www.austcoastal.com.au/ you just have to get it to and from Fremantle and Brisbane

I won't guess a cost but these guys are pretty good, I think you'll have a lot of change from 2k

I has an XR8 engine shipped from Sydney to Perth on a pallet and it was $250through QNR who also use a trucking company in Welshpool. Can't recall their name but if you call QNR for a quote they will advise.

I've seen QNR containers on freight trains coming over so it could even end up going by container.

Jaydee transport in Maddington also would be worth a quote.

HPS Transport here in Perth transport engines to and from the eastern states, they have to be well packed No oils or fluids and on a pallet as you have.It will take about 7 days depot to depot WA QLD ph 08 9456 0779 for a price. Cockburn Transport are express freight WA to QLD dont go by the word express to much.If you use Toll,TNT,Linnfox you must be prepared to talk to a ghost as when they loose things " I will get back to you" or "It has arrived but no one was there to receive it"
