Default Cheap Engine Oil

Hi All.

I realise some people may still be struggling financially during these bad times.

This oil may suitable for some cars ( not just Fords ) if you're on a budget.

Repco have 5L Nulon 15w-40 MINERAL Oil on special for $10.

Just got a notification from Autobarn.

They have 5L Gulf Western Oil, Premium Gold Semi-Synthetic 15w-40 on special for $9.99.

I'll be heading there tomorrow for the AU.

I will 'cease and desist' posting oil threads

I have been “guilty” of using cheap oils over the years and can say I have not noticed any adverse effects.Oil consumption is neither better or worse,engine doesn’t run or sound any different.I wonder sometimes if there are some brand snobs out there who think that $10-15 per litre oil is better than some 1/4 of that price,but is it really an better?

Agree Tassie. I feel that changing oil regularly (more frequently than Oem recommends) is more important than using high cost oils, but leaving for extended periods.
