LPI and I4T can't come any quicker for the Falcon.

I agree, having ample LPG models will be hurting ute and sedan sales. ......... Seems the large car segment has dropped 1.1% on oct 09 http://www.fcai.com.au/sales

There seems to be plenty of interest in the new SC 5.0 and the allocation of 250 odd for this year is sold out will provide a lift. Next year FPV are talking about 2,000 or more V8 sales.

Well if you add up the totals in the 46 manufacturers supplied by VZ, they come to about 79116, whereas the articles say 80925 cars were sold. So approx 1800 vehicles are missing from somewhere. |

Looking past Ford figures, I'm worried about Hyundai. They are a force in the US, slowly catching on in Europe, and look like they want the number three spot from us. They have surged ahead of Mazda (who last month were ahead of Ford) and less than a thousand units behind Ford.
Our faith is with an ECOBoost Falcon, revised Territory with TD engine, revised Thai Fiesta and a new Focus and Ranger. A revised Focus will see sales go up, as will a TD Territory, hopefully Fiesta can boost numbers and we'll be back into 9000+ figures. If they don't get us over the line, I think Hyundai will be biting at our heels for some time to come, and eventually pass us.

Hyundai is on a roll, they have a great marketing campaign and some great cars.
I honestly don't know what to say about the Falcon's numbers. The new Ford TV ads are much better imo than the poncy 'Ford of course'; ads, but so far I haven't seen the Falcon mentioned in any of them. I do have to question - with numbers falling the point must be getting closer where the cost and viability of keeping the assembly plant open versus profits from cars sold is reaching that tipping point?? How did the Territory and the ute go??

Has anyone got the Ute numbers. FCAi website has the 4x2 Utes as being down 20% from last October (5500 to 4500), so assuming both commodore and falcon Utes probably suffered a similar 20% drop.

its been a bit quite on the falcon front for a while, other than the sc v8 which has barely hit the pavement yet, it would`nt surpise me if they pick up a lot of new sales in the next year or 2 with the up and comeing extra power unit options.

No more wagon, so you cant count them. I think they were selling around 300 a month before it was dropped.

I thought we were meant to see sedan sales increase by the same amount as the wagon was selling when it was dropped as it was going to free up the line to do so.
