pity it's only a render but if that's what it will look like it's a winner in my books. Evolution of the current Mondeo which is still a good looker.

I think that thing looks really good. Kudos to the designers. I just hope the actual product looks like it!

That looks horn, leave the falcon chassis and an inline 6 with a rturbo in it and put that on top. Sex on wheels.

I own an '08 Mondeo XR5, which I think is a mighty sexy* looking car. I do like the illustrations above, but I think the real deal will be somewhat more subtle. I reckon if the real deal is a bit smoother, they could have quite possibly made sexy even more sexy.
*I use this term for the XR5 and Titanium, the base models don't appeal to me at all edit - I missed page 2 and didn't see above image. Not so sure about that one...

Astons and Jags are some of, if not the best looking cars on sale today. Backs up what J Mays was saying a week or 2 ago about the future styling of Fords sedans to have lower profile, fastback style roofs. http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mell...25791000044EE5 |

just combining these 2 pics from jpd80 into the 1 post. obviously one is a real car and one an artist impression, but if neither of them had badges, you swear they were from the same stable.
as for the miniature ferrari, its a fiat abath. same as aston putting their badge on the toyota iq. it allows the company to claim a lower fuel rating for the brand without having to go all economical on their main cars. its the only reason they do it. |

Ford of Europe really are the shining light in the whole Ford empire, Not the Aussies nor the yanks could ever dream of creating a solid looking thing of beauty like this. This is the sort of car that will pull ford out of average land (much in the way that the new Mazda "smiley" zoom zoom cars made Mazda "desireable") I for one would be happy to see this car become the new falcon replacement, instead of that HIDEOUS yank tank Taurus with its boxy rear end and yee haw nascar styling that looks like the designer had an IQ of 4. More of the same from America, if Ford are serious about getting out of the Doldrums, Styling like this new mondeo is where its at. Ford of Europe are the true winners in the Ford stable in my opinion, they create good looking and practical cars (S-Max?), as well as some cracking ford Racing and sports cars. That Mondeo is truly desireable. Quote:

What I hope Ford does is throw caution to the wind and just make the sheet metal like that. Stuff it, I agree, anyone who thinks that is not a good looking car is mad.
I know they need to please average Joe aswell, but its hardly over the top; its futuristic without being to out there. |

What if Post 2015 Falcon used the same top hats as Mondeo sedan, hatch and stationwagon, grafted to a modified RWD floor pan. That would make the whole progress much cheaper by combining styling elements of Fusion/Mondeo with RWD. Something truly unique..... |

I prefer the more conventional look of the current model's front end, with a "letterbox" grille and a Ford badge placed in its centre - just like the new Focus, and current Mondeo. The next Mondeo's nose looks as if it belongs to a sports car - is that a bad thing? No, not if you're trying to build a sports car. The current car's "fastback" rear end is fine as it is - in fact, it's brilliant, so why drop the bootlid on the next model? To me it doesn't make the car look any better. From side view the car is indeed very pretty, and miles better than the current version. But I'd prefer a more "conventional" (if you like) front and rear end.

And Ford Europe are not immune to building pigs either
Either way its a global language, so it doesnt really matter who initiated it, US would sign it off. Last edited by Polyal; 02-10-2011 at 06:56 PM. |

artist's sketches are pretty accurate, Fog lamps are a little larger.. That's the beauty of "One Ford' global products will have Kinetic MK II styling and all of the engineering resources throughout Ford's global empire worked on the project, even Ford Australia was given some work.. |
