There's a place sort of like this near where I live I went Up as a 17 year old saying that I am into old school stuff and would like to talk to the owner. I left my name number with the house keeper. No response after several months will go back up there on the weekend.

I think I speak/write a similar sentiment to other members when I say my heart dropped when I saw this. I owned an EK Holden wagon (first photo) as well as an FB which are both represented here and the 48/215 looks like a prime candidate for a full resto. And that is a Dodge Phoenix sat on top

Old cars that not so long ago no one gave a toss about .....
My local scrappie stacks em that high and his yard gets cleared out every few weeks, then the whole yard is full and stacked again within another few weeks
He even had a coupla MK 1 zephyrs not long ago, drove a forklift right threw the side to unload and stack, on top of some busted up EJs
To him its scrap nothing more nothing less
He has a bin full of alloy rims, every time im there I rummage threw them

I was at sims metal in brissie probably about 10,15 years ago an old bloke drove his EK in took of the plates , within half a minute there was a big magnet swinging it around the yard, dumped on the scrap pile ...
Sad tale really, was a bit shocked ,but it wasn't the only old car on the pile either ....

Even if they got parted out... Badges, lights surrounds etc, something to put them to use instead of just rusting away...

Ive got boxes and boxes of early holden badges,most aren't worth a thing
They are reproduced now so the pitted ones missing a pin here and there are nothing more than scrap
Ive got some rare ones that aren't repro, but they can be had on egay from time to time for a few bucks
Hardly worth the effort to carefully remove, sit down do an add

That Flynns? You must have got him on a bad day. He's a bit ansy when you ask him to go collect the parts. He's always let me go through the yard to find the parts i've needed. He was also allowing tours for a fee (cover charge against pocketed parts).

i needed a hood for an old 80s toyota, he gave me directions to the toyota sector and i drove down there and removed it myself.
