Default Re: Senator Nick Xenephon "Priority to save Holden "

Just a dumb question.
How wild of a new policy would the new government have to make about Australian Made Cars to get Ford thinking about changing their mind?

Say for example private buyers got a 10k rebate for buying a new Australian car for instance.

This would increase sales of Australian made cars, but only go to the manufactures that made Australian Cars that people wanted.

The only thing that would change Fords mind is if the Falcon/Territory somehow magically sold 120,000 units in the next 12 months at a better margin than their imported range. All other benefits/hand outs etc.. will make no difference.

Unfortunately there is more chance of Webber winning next years F1 Championship than that happening (after announcing his retirement).
