My Ef fairmont ghia 5.0L hwy cruising gives me 10.5L/100 town is around 13.5to15L/100 depending how I feel at the time. I find the car gets better fuel economy on the hwy if I drive at 120 rather than 100.

I own a BA XR6 Ute, Manual, LSD, Easily does half city half highway with 4 - 500kg in the back all the time. Inly ever had over 500ks out of a tank a handful of times. I'm filling it twice a week at $95 per fill. Starting to get over it! Filled 3 times last week, 1440ks, 217l of Synergy 9000. If i knew the 6 would be this thirsty i would have just bought the 8 or the turbs! I by no means drive mine sedately, but it baffles me how someone with a turbo can be getting 12 - 13/l per 100ks! Why have a turbo if you're gonna drive it like that!

Its not a Nissan forum. And?

Read the description of "The Pub" - For General Automotive Related chat. Well I'll be.

And the read asks for kilometres to the tank, no specific vehicle.

BA XR8 ute 500-550 around town and 750-830 on open rd. Fairly acceptable for the V8, but my mates LS2 uses about 8L/100km.

Well I run a log for the car for tax i am not that fanatical. And heres what mine does. I am a rep and you can see on the country trips its good to great. Around town in Sydney it can be pretty poor but its hilly stop start and average speeds are less than 40kmh on most trips.

I just got 515km on 59 lts in my Sprint. i think that's fantastic! Previous cars were getting (in old miles per gallon) 4.9L Turbo Trans-Am 17mpg on the h'way , 440 Magnum Dodge Phoenix 11mpg on h'way. So the Sprint IS economical!

I own a 2003 BA XT V8 manual sedan and get about 400km's to a tank.

That figure is for daily driving around town. When I do purely country driving I get almost 650km per tank.

Fuel economy......what's that???? :P

I filled my EF up last Thursday, the fuel light came on this morning and the odo reads 296k's! lol.

I put it down to the fact that it runs rediculously rich because of the cam. I do get carried away with my right foot, but thats still horrible mileage even with my spirited driving.

XR6T Mk1. 390 - 410K's to the tank, usually takes 55 litres upon fillup (ie, so I'm not running it on fumes). Thats a mix of blue mountains highway and city driving. If I can resist giving it a bootfull everyday, I can usually get it to around 430ks. Yeah - I know - big whoop! The best I've got was on a trip down the coast where I average 9.9 l/100ks and that was about 600kms before I filled up.

The trip computer tells me I usually average around 12.3 - 12.5 litres per 100ks. So its a bit out by my reckoning (ie, 55/410 * 100 does not equal 12.5).
