Id say so, they should ahve brought out the XR8 R
with luxury interior atleast.

Futura is way overy priced for what it is and so is Fairmont, both models are going to be dead ducklings soon.

XR8 has a great price and is great value for money, but as has been said no mention of power increase.

Are you guys sure that the BFMk2 XR8 will be that price? I mean sounds too much of a price drop. The current price on the Ford website is $51,330 RRP. Man, that will be great if its offered so low. But i will wait and see before celebrating.

I can only go from the press release posted. Th eason is to compate the VE SS which has a similarly appointed for $44k. The SSV has a higher level of apppointment which you can get close to if you option the Ford luxury pack (leather seats, climat, premium sound etc).

Yeah I was wondering what Ford was going to do about the SS's much lower RRP. Sounds good. Over the last few years the XR8 has been getting a bit rich for its boots.

about time xr8 sedans were priced right. xr8 ute and turbo ute have been same price since ba1 but sedans were 5000 dearer for xr8. sucks that it took competition to make them do what they should of done from the start.UNLESS they are trying to turn us all into turbo drivers because they have that market all sewn up. same deal with v8 RTV ,5000 more but with standard ute 5000 v8 option gets abs,big radiator, lsd all of which the standard 6 cid. RTV has .FORD RIPPING US OFF.

"Recommended retail pricing of our premium Falcon XR models has been reduced by up to 12.4 per cent"

The math on the xr8 sedan lives up to this promise

$5000 price drop on the XR8 this should have been done a long time ago..
They had to do it, with the new VE SS being $45,000.

Any news on the FPV lineup? Hopefully they'll give both the F6 GT/GT-P lineup more power rather than dropping prices if they're to stay competitive with HSV. From all accounts the R8 and GTS will kill the FPV V8's and maybe the F6 too.

i think if fpv are smart they will atleast fittle with the engines so everyone is certain that a ve ss would not beat it...and if they lower the prices to mabey 55 or 58 it wll take plenty of customers from hsv buyers...the fpvs still have a great package so if they mabey put the revs higher and give a little more torque to the boss then that will keep plenty of people happy enough untill orion will come and eliminate all...in saying that id be very happy still if the bf2 was faster then hsv but im thinking of a business sence and it would be foolish if fpv used up their sources now and left not much increase for orion

I really liked the fairmont in those pics it looks very european. Also that blue xt looks alot better then the commodore omega thats for sure! And the price drops for the lineup was a very smart thing to do.

Good move these are the prices the cars should of been from the ba about time to me that price drop is as good as a power upgrade.
As for its looks at first i was uncertain but now im really liking bf2 especially with those prices.

I notice the bluetooth function on BF2 is a great idea, pity they havent got an MP3 connecter also.
Is the premium stereo still the same as in BA? i think that is one area where it could have been improved.
I know one major difference between my BAmk2 ute and BF was the addition of traction control, the avaliability of Stability control on more BF2 models is a good move. Wish i had both on my ute!
