And here I have been saving my pennies for when the announcement is made that the I6 will be killed off, was looking forward to getting some kind of swan song model.
Not a bad thing though, this engine has been developed on somewhat of a restricted budget compared to other world class engines; imagine what some serious cash could do to it.

The I6 definately has a strong future if the costs add up. The engine plant is gauranteed safe till at least 2014 at the earliest, after that its a bit grey due to the confusion about the future Falcon platform, but future emmisions compliance shouldn't be a problem.
