yes you get 5 in a box so if you damaged one on your rim you have a spare one

They're super cheap, considering on the rim skins website it's $49.95 for 2 , and not only do you get 5 rim skins it comes with the wheel prep solution aswell. Bargain i say.

just to confirm guys where in the OP is says 5 for 79, that is referring to if we had 5 sets the cost would be $79. with the group buy you get enough to do 4 wheels, the cleaning and prep solutions

and its taken off very nicely getting everyone a nice saving

Will these work on rims which have a staggered lip i.e some sections are raised, others aren't?

such as these

The black sections aren't raised and the silver sections are

Doubt it... all the bits will be stuck on in an evenly spread pattern that means the weights will still all balance. If you put it on 1 half of the wheel you will get a wobble.

I did this just so you get the idea exactly what the product is
I still want to be in the Group Buy

The pack the RimSkins come in says perfect for rims 14 to 20 inch rims

Comes with some cleaner to prep your rims

They look like this

Basically Peel and Stick

Here is a pic with the backing protective tape off

One side of the RimSkins is wider then the other
I stuck the wider side of the RimSkins on the outside of the rim
As i have a lip there that it sits in perfect
It didn't have instructions as to if the wider side is supposed to be on the inside or the outside :( took a calculated guess

Stuck on ready to Trim

Front Wheel Done

Rear Wheel Done

Finished - yeah the car is dirty - the tyres haven't got tyre black on them
The Rims are clean though and you get the idea of how it looks

Do they have to be replaced each time the tyre is removed from a rim or will they stay on with the tyre changing tools?

On a side note i fitted the RimSkins on Saturday and before the 24 Hour Curing period was up I drove 200Klms on an Orsm Club Cruise through windy wet muddy roads with rain and they are still stuck on nicely

It states on the instructions you can use them instantly but takes 24 hours to stick properly

No it won't interfere. The alignment heads are clamped onto the tyre not the rim so no contact is made with the rim.
