I have a V8 Mustang but think the option of the Ecoboost is great to try and lure more buyers, as long as a V8 is always available also. The V8 GT should always be the mainstay but other options are good too. |

I think Ford needs EcoBoost for the European market, where engine displacement is taxed.

It also just makes sense...if they can lure people into the brand with a lower price point why not.
There is no logical explanation as to why its not a good idea having the option.

I know it is not going to happen for a while, but I'd love to see a Mustang GT vs FGX XR8 Falcon review!! That would be me a good idea if Mustang is a step forward or backward from what I already have. Not that I a have a Falcon FGX XR8, I've got a XR6T..

I see the Ecoboost as the eventual replacement fore the V6 once the market gets its head around it. for instance we will never see the V6 here.

The LE was GM's answer to the Boss 302, that a entry level GT with PP can hang with it in most respects ie everywhere but the track is impressive, the LE is packing some serious rubber remember.
The Mustang makes the Camaro look old and I won't even mention the Camaro's interior |

Nice review.
Amazing how well GM has got the chassis of that Camaro tied down. Even looking at the side by side video, it was just point and shoot where there was a little more see sawing in the Mustang. I preferred the V8 in the Mustang, had a much better sound, i like the look of the Mustang better (interior and exterior) but those wheels on the Camaro, yes please. I suppose as the Mustang evolves the chassis will be developed further.

The mustang chassis is fine. All the mustang needs is firmer shocks and better tyres. IMO ford are catering for most people who order the PP. They will probably want softer shocks as most PP will not see track work anyway. And if people are doing track work they will change the shockies in the PP or the LE regardless.
People like to think that the PP is good and that they can drive it to the limit yet 90% of people cannot and they wouldnt be able to push the limits of the standard shocks/tyres.

Went to the NZ Mustang Convention today where they had a 2015 Mustang on display, Ecoboost in Guard with Ceramic interior.
My photo's are rubbish, but it looks great in person. It is very sophisticated looking and stylish but still has a "I mean business" presence about it. Not as tough looking as a S197 but still good none the less. It was attracting a lot of attention, so photo's were hard to get. |

The Mustang is generating some interest, a mate who isn't a car guy noticed the add the other day and has asked me to keep him in the loop when they are closer to getting here, I'm not saying its a sure sale but he had next to no interest in a performance falcon or commodore, likely he would be keen on an ecoboost version.

I CAN'T SEE A PROBLEM WITH VIEWING THIS CAR, IN ECOBOOST FORM, BETTER THAN ANY 4 CYLINDER 2 DOOR BMW/AUDI/ANYTHING EUROPEAN. Call me a hair dresser if you please, as I am leaving you behind at the lights;) We do have rego issues here in Qld. that seriously make you consider purchasing a V8. e.g. dollars versus noise. |

It does look good , but it's very clear when you see the trio together like that how much more modern the stang looks. It's kinda separated itself from that more muscular old school look that the others still have. ITs kinda gone all NINJA TMNT muscle whilst the others still have that retro look.
Not a bad thing , just sayin.... |

The Mustang looks to have the other two outclassed in terms of styling, almost a sports car vs muscle cars. If only it had the FGX XR8 engine....

Bit nose heavy having both the F6 and the Miami engine.
Even the I6 would be a bit nose heavy in itself, how much does it weigh in F6 form?

It has a bit of a BMW thingy going, I like the quad pipes and it has the best wheel offsets of the three and would look even better if it was lowered. The Mustang looks hot too, the best of the three but it definitely needs larger diameter exhaust outlets and lowering also wouldn’t hurt. |
