G'day & weclome to the forums. Well you could come to a club meeting or event as we have a quite a few modded Boss motor owners in the club going from mild to wild with some going as far s/c motors. These guy will be more than happy to talk to you & will be able to give you all the info on what they have done, who done it for them & what the results they are getting. Just click on the logo at the top for more club info. You can also chat to the guy in this section of the forums http://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=31 or http://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=12 here. Good luck with your mods.

G'Day Welcome..

congrats on the purchase. We don't chip these cars, we use an edit which reprograms the ecu.

For N/A Mods

If supercharging, i wouldn't worry about CAI mods.. However

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=80337

You will need to change oil pump gears to supercharge safely.. If you are going to forfeit the warranty, do it properly and spare yourself a rebuild..

As for exhausts, best info is here

Superchargers, the cheap nasty crapa side bolt on jobs aren't the go anymore... The boss now has some more mature highier HP units. Twin Screw Whipple, 2.3 Litre, capable of 750 HP, or 30 psi....

If your ute is a manual

If it's a ZF 6 speed, post 52 forwards will give you an understanding of where we are at with the auto.

This should cover everything, you can also see all our details about the club on our website..

Hi Charlie;

Welcome aboard the Boss Journey, and the forums.
At present we have five supercharged cars in our club. Two FPV Boss Motors, one BOSS XR8, one Tickford T3, and one Tickford Pursuit. One of the club members owns a business and a fair amount of his time is taken up by the fitting and tuning superchargers. So there is a bit of knowledge / experience on these within our club.

Better still drop me a pm, or attend the next club meeting

13th February
Power Ford
Victoria Ave Castle Hill
8pm Start

Regards
Paul
