Default Sold My Ride :(

Well after 40k miles, 7 years, 5 engine's, 4 diffs, 4 jobs,3 gearboxes, 2 states, 2 gf's, 2 interiors, 1 paintjob, 1 wedding a wife and 2 kids its with great sadness that I have to let the old girl go. :(

As they say in the classics "I got an offer too good to refuse" and thus I must let her go to a new home even if my wife thinks im : She is telling me its up 2 me as she doesnt want me to blame her if I regret it later :

This is a vid of one of the last times I drove her.

The deal lets me keep the GT spec 6 leaf springs with the 9inch and 351 tailshaft. I also keep the Bonnet and Hornet scoop and my Autometer oil and temp gauge's. He get the funnelweb'd 4v and all the accumulated XW-Y gear I got laying around that I havnt already sold.

In return I get a 4k c4 with a dominator 3800rpm nitrous converter, all tranny lines and B&M cooler with fans attached, an SFI approved B&M flex plate and a B&M Pro Ratchet shifter. Along with enough folding gear to make the deal VERY attractive.

Although its going to be a kleenex moment when he picks it up I will hopefully be replacing it with another one of my favs

One of these but not a GT only GS

Mind you it is a genuine 302 4 speed GS apollo blue. Ill be buying is sans engine gearbox and diff for very close to the changeover price on the Fairmont and I will put my 377c the c4 and 9in in it so hopefully I wont feel too bad for long : .

This car is close to a deal but I will add some pics of the XY later and some of the replacement if it does come off. If not I got my eyes on a couple of other cars but whatever I replace the old girl with I dont think it will be quite the same.

Congratulations on a successful transaction.

I think it is always hard to let such an awesome piece of machinery go.

XBs are among the most beautiful cars in the world IMO. A badge is nothing to me, legend is everything.

Hope your new ride means as much to you as this one.

But dang, that's hard. Your GT is beaut.

I wish it was a GT But the XB will be a GS and the XY is a Fairmont.

Whilst Ive always loved XB's its so far about the only model between XR-Fs I havnt owned! Mt parents had a 302 4sp red pepper GS coupe when I was a kid and hated Dad selling it.

Money..... It makes us do crazy things...

If the offer was THAT good. Then...

We're only human, after all.
