The Repo one?

Looks pretty damn good. Engine bay nice and clean and appears to have good clean coolant in it. As long as its straight which it appears to be thats a nice car. $4,600 suppose you could get it for $4,000 and your laughing. Sure its only a series 1, but its got low klsm and its cheaper than a EL fairmont- leave you with plenty of cash to mod it up.

Needs rego and a new console lid though and cant see the dent there talking about- but one of those mobile dent dudes could probably fix that

it looks clean. new header tank for the kays is odd but $4k for 120 00kays is fair money

seems like a tidy unit and pretty cheap for that model, it'd depend on how it drives and a closer look but I'd definatley give it consideration

I couldn't access the link, but if this is from Broadford car sales, (only guessing because it's a repo) then I'd say don't bother - most of their cars are fairly rough and overpriced. Most cars look great in pics, it's only in person that you see how bad they really are!

Just be careful, the K's might not be correct.
It is easy to swap the clusters and a good indication that something is not quite right is the new header tank that has been mentioned already.
Will probably be a bit rough around the edges.
Best to go and see it and get a complete mechanical check on it before parting with your money

Everything on the drivers side of the car under the bonnet looks new. ie: battery, headr tank, abs module and even exuast headres cover. This seems to me like its had a nice smash in the drivers side front end?????

I just swapped the S1 Futura cluster for a S1 XR unit. Everything works great, everything except for the temp gauge needle that is!

Any ideas!

Sorry to highjack the thread.

Just make sure that you get the car checked. For that cheap, you can afford the $100 for a thorough check.

All the best with it.

Nooo,,, Thats a series one grill (maybe continued through the series). Considering I paid 13000 1 and a half years ago when it had 157000ks on mine, Id say its an ok price. Make sure you check it out, and make sure everything is straight, otherwise why not. If you can get it a little cheaper, put the money saved straight onto brakes and suspension, and get it stopping and handling a bit better.

You could try shorting out the sender under the bonnet ( i.e. take the wire off the sender unit and connect to earth )to see whether the temp guage needle moves.
If it doesn't then problem is with wiring or cluster.
If it does then problem is with sender
