I use the Xtra cool from Kmart. $9 a bottle takes 2 bottles (concentrate)
change it every 2 years or 40K or whenever it takes my fancy

I also use Nulon long life green at recommended 33% mix (5 litres makes 15 total). Lasts 250,000km or 4 years.

Genuine ford stuff. Its a concentrate and 5L makes 16L and thats the capacity of the AU cooling system. My coolant bottle hasn't gone yellow or brown and coolant always stays bright green. I have only changed it once at 100K and it i am planning to do it again this summer (should have about 170K by then). Use distilled water to dilute the coolant not tap water.

Looks like everone uses different stuff. I use Tectaloy Gold. It was what Ford originally recomended as a replacement for the red stuff that the car came with. I change it once a year. Had the car since near new and it's now done 250000kms.

Finally a correct answer... lol. Natra and Adrad sell the same stuff but in their own name... both companies recommend nothing "long life"... So you can imagine what I use on ALL my cars.

I use Tectalloy Gold, and as I don't do many klm's in the XR8, (had it since new '01) and only on 40,000klm's, I change it every 2 yr's.
