a supposed sports V8 fairlane with IIRC XR suspension and red leather........let down by the fact that there was no extra power over a standard V8 Fairlane.

still....a nice car

It was Fords attempt to attract younger buyers to the Fairlane. Was the G220 (as in 220kw V8) with the BA and had a name change to G8 for the BF since it now had 230kw.

A nice understated ride, eats up the ks and the back seat is very family friendly- easier acces than Falcon, handles well, parking only downside.
A good low k usedy is a bargain - luxury for around the cost of a similarly aged wagon.
G8 is better package and worth the few extra bucks.

On Ebay there is a G220 with an orgasmic red and black leather interior.

If i had the money, I'd take it. Looks great.

Au contraire, looks spectacular in black. Bit of work would make the ultimate sleeper.

There is a guy on here with one, i think.

My car had the G220 wheels optioned when it was first bought. They look super sexy IMO though i wish they were 18's or 19's.

i was a little confused with the question, more as to why a ford fan wouldnt know what it was ....... then i realized after checking Kermit profile, he would have been in primary school when the BA G220 was released
