Haven't actually driven a D22 for about 18 months but was front seat passenger for 4 hours in one a few months back. It may have more room than the D22 but it's still pretty poor IMHO. You also seem to sit more upright in the D40 which i also didn't like.

My only issue with the seat is it's a little firm.

Yeah i probably didn't phrase that right. I think the seating position in the D40 is higher than the D22 which meant i had to sit a bit more upright. Does that make any sense? In any case it was a nice enought thing to drive but still not as good as the hilux and more so the ranger IMO.
