Default 1999 Fairmon for 8K

I found a 1999 Fairmont with 66K on the clock with 100% service history. Interior is clean and well maintained. Road worthy provided, but I have to pay for rego. Seller asking for $8000.

My intention is to make it duel fuel.

My question is, is it a good buy in terms of value for money?

Thanks fellows

it's got low km's on it, i'll say that. however if you're willing to cop a few more km, you could EASILY get yourself a ghia for that money.

Personally, I think it's too much for a S1. For that money you could get a clean S2/3, even a Ghia is more than possible. Or, an auction spec BA Fairmont.

I reckon it's a good price considering the klms on it even if it's only a series 1. Asking $8000 the question is how much can you screw them down.

Sure it's got low kays, but I'd rather a later model Ghia with 120,000km for that money, then you get all the nice Ghia extra's, plus series 2/3 had better brakes, and better looking rear bumper. It's not a bad deal, it's just not what I'd do.

OK,not too bad,to give you an idea,We are thinking of selling out 01 AU2 ghia 70ks 18s,new tyres,12mths rego, immaculate and I was going to put $10k to start. just got to sort out what we are buying(territory/liberty/outback) then she's up for sale.

Oh and the deposit is payed for the gas conversion waiting on the kit to come in

Both have their advantage but in my opinion 120 klms and you'll be replacing things often as they come to the end of their life but 66 klms and that money could be spent on mods like bigger better brakes than standard series 2/3.

Personally I'd probably spend the extra $2000 and buy vctxr6ute ghia.
I recently sold my 98 fairmont for $7500. It had BA XR6 wheels, superlow springs, new gas system and new cat back sports exhaust and BA brakes and 145 klms on the clock
