Its ok but not reccomended.10w40/50 would be more suited.May break doen a little sooner than usual.

Is this because Supercheap has a great deal on the stuff(40%off)?

I would be going for a 10W/40, 15W/40 or even 10w/50. Personally I use 15w/40.

All the best with it.

Ford specified a minium of 15/40 for their dedicated LPG AU engines from new, so at 180k, 5/30 is definitely not recommended!

You could search the word "viscosities" and have a read.

Cheers

15W 40 is listed by Ford for LPG engines.
AU's use ordinary 15W 40 engine oil unlike
the BA/BF LPG which use a specific 15W 40 LPG oil.

Yeah i'd be taking this with a grain of salt, seeing as nearly all oils on the market are OK for just about any I6 LPG application

O-oh. You're asking for it mentioning that "M" word.

Cos i replaced the oil so much ... i just used the cheaper Shell LPG 15W40 oil.
Did the job well ... no burning ... had the rocker cover gasket a few times .... and it was clean internally.

Mind you ... the oil was changed monthly though.
