Melbourne's southeastern suburbs have suffered severe thunderstorms with up to 33mm of rain bucketing down in just 15 minutes in some suburbs. Mentone was virtually underwater by 7.15pm as water belted down.   http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/sto...-1225999816174 |

My son is driving around in Patrol cab/chassis with a 3" lift at the moment, and he is amazed how many ******* are submerging their sedans.

Last night in Dandy witnessed a C63 AMG attempt a crossing only to get stuck when cars in front stopped, sitting there idling with exhaust burbling away underwater like inboard boat only to stall moments later.
Frankston Dandy road is a parking lot just before Jayco Drive with cars scattered everywhere that have tried driving through. Its amazing the lack of respect people show cars and the lack of brain function on most drivers.

channel seven footage caught some people in Brisbane parking there cars and walking away right near the rising water,funny thing was most were shitters,i wonder how many insurers are now asking why your car was flooded in an area miles from their homes and workplaces?

Had the same, 2005-2006 C class Merc stalled in the water. Think it was a diesel too. Got pushed out, but it too sucummbed to water and I think it hydraulically locked. May have got water in the fuel too. It ran, very "misfire'y", then sounded like it hit something solid.
Car is still there. This one's going to be expensive. |

I'd be brave to even try crossing something like that in my Patrol with 2inch lift and 33s!, somethings very wrong with people who do it in normal 2wd cars

A bloke I know is flat out picking up all these stranded cars....its a field day for him.
He also has a government contract to pick up and store cars impounded under the Hoon legislation. |

however.......if they had a snorkel... oh no, but they're not all roadworthy, well at least ya ain't gonna drown when you try swim from the car that is now stuck in a lake
