Default Sending an Exhaust ? Vic -> NSW (+ request for help)

I just bought an exhaust off eBay. Wondering the best way to get it sent. The seller hasn't used a courier before. I haven't sent something like an exhaust before either.

It weighs 40kg all up, so most places want it on a pallet at that weight, which the seller likely can't do.

Any suggestions? My last resort is a 9 hour drive to pick it up on Friday

It's going from 3178 to 2540. No one is doing a Vic > NSW run soon are they?

Or would anyone be able to pick it up form the seller and help me organise sending it. I'd compensate for any time this takes.

Thanks

The exhaust can be wrapped in separate parts. I sent one (2 part catback) that way
with e-go couriers and there was no mention of a pallet. The ends of each exhaust part
were just generously covered with bubble wrap and taped for protection of the item, as
well as safety for handling.

(If one is sending 4 alloy wheels, they aren't all stacked on a pallet. Usually they
are boxed separately and listed under the same consignment.)

I received a Herrod catback the same way, but the wrapping job was better than mine!

Just got my 4" system from nizpro (posted to western syd). They bubble wrapped the lot really well then had it all in a big ol cardboard box roughly 1500x800x450.

smoo has come to the rescue and offered to collect it and drop it off to me on his way up here.

What a champ

I had received a quote from e-go.com.au and it was going to cost around $120, so smoo has saved me a fair amount of $$
