Should have gone with a bonnet scoop of some sort...something like this:

Think they're saving the best for last and will go out with a big bang with the GTSR

I still feel good about my GT-E too. And even with Shockworks and things though I know it won't touch a modern HSV like this as an all round package. That is the plain simple truth. Still, there is no way I am going to spend another 50k to get into a GTS at this point in my life. I think I will keep the GT-E for a long time. Only thing that will replace it will be a 911, but even then it would be good to keep the GT-E too.

The xr8 now has the same engine as the old Gtps, how is that any different? All I hear about that awesome arrangement is lots of cheers and excitement. As there should be. Cant say Ive seen too many Fpv owners sooking about it, myself included.
Haha well GTS owners are pretty naive! A few of them didn't expect it in the same model, thought that would be that with the VF.

LSA engines are long over due for the HSV range. The clubsport front end will be my pick. As with every HSV new model launch are new wheels. New Wheels look great.

I see the rear end that looks like a fat chick with a G string remains. Nice cars though. I'd still buy a second hand GT over them, half the price and a lot more than half the car.

Agree, Senator has always been the pick of the bunch where looks are concerned, and now it has the power to match.

Love the look of the seats. Wish my GTF had those seats (or at least the GTP seats).

Kudos to HSV! I guess you can spend a lot more money on the overall car when you don't develop the engine.

Definitely! The fact it's got the bigger diff, shafts etc plus all the coolers...I'll have to seriously restrain myself not to buy one before production finishes in 2017!

I'm surprised they dropped the LSA in and when you think of what you're getting from the GTS the price hike doesn't seem that bad. I like the styling updates too.

I was thinking the 340kw LS3 would be the base and somewhere between 350kw and 400kw for the R8.

What happened to all the noise made by hsv regarding the necessity for a minium amount of airflow for the lsa to be warranted in the GTS and the need for that gaping front bar. Doesnt seem to be an issue now....

I reckon this'll be a GS vs GT type scenario, where they'll pretty much make the same power with an aftermarket tune.

I hope these things sell like hot cakes. Be good to see some decent Aussie cars on the roads for a few more years to come. Also good for the guys and girls who build these things.

Both the LS3 SS and boosted HSV models will walk out the door as usual. With all the extra driver comforts, makes for awesome cars.
