You'd have to buy the front, lights, brackets..

I don't really know, around $1300 maybe. Then theres the costs of painting it and fitting.

Send a PM to "The Dok" - he is our resident headlight specialist supplier/repairer. You should be able to get the lights for around $600 odd, and a front XR bar (second hand) for around $300 or so. The quote of $1300 in this thread would be including painting - even if you go for the XR50 bar (about $500 new) from AWC.

If you read my reponse properly, you would have seen that I was "unsure" and not an actual quote.

Id start by installing King Springs... SSL on the rear and SL on the fronts. IT'll sit perfectly and im yet to scrape my underside. Looks so much nicer than factory height...

Mines an XR8, so the shocks are different, but it handles Great... as in REALLY great... Look at this thread link below i started on King Springs... my pics of my car are about 3/4 or the way down the page. Its white aswell... go the white!

Touchy, touchy. I was just firming up your "quote". The Xr conversion cost me around $1200 including bonnet, but without painting (not required as I got a black front & bonnet). Bonnet not required if converting a series 1 forte to XR front.

you'll have to go fibreglass for the TS50 kit. www.awcinfo.com is the only place that does them cheaply afaik. You'll need a new bonnet too if you've got a series 1 forte.

if you have a 99 forte.. like mine.. you will need the series II bonnet, which is goes straight across and doesnt have that lip like our 99 model ones have.
they call them they high series and low weries bonnets, just so you know what your looking for.

i did the XR conversion on my AU and it looks GREAT!

my car got the XR50 front bar from AWC which looks hell good!

went from this..

to this....

oh sorry, forgot to add, that with ANY XR kit you get to keep your bonnet as all the front bars fit and were made to suit the bonnets.

If you go the TS50 kit, you WILL need to get a new bonnet, that just adds to the cost, but then again, you might as well because getting the XR front end converted is a time consuming and wallet pounding excersise :hihi:

cheers mate

good luck!
Rob

Rear bar and skrits would be the same. Only difference is front end. If you go TS50 front, then you will need a new bonnet. So around $450 odd for the TS50 front (plus lights and mesh) and whatever a bonnet costs, plus painting. XR50 front is also around $450 odd, and you get to keep your bonnet, but you will need lights at around $600 - but you save on painting a bonnet.

Really, either front end would cost about the same, I guess. All up you'd be looking at around $3000 for a full bodykitincluding painting, fitting etc.
