Hey All,

I have seen a few very nice Au's with these rims on them and I am wondering where they got the rims and what they payd for them?

Cheers

I asked a tyre shop here what they were worth just out of curiosity, they reckoned around $800 per rim - without tyres. Reason being they are a very lightweight and well made rim.

Taking just 2 kg off each wheel is equivalent to approximately 64kg off the static weight- I took over 4kg off each wheel (128kg) for the sake of $700 per wheel less what I sold mine for- it's actually a cheap performance mod. I also went for alloy hatted 2 piece rotors- effectively exactly the same thing given they turn in unison with the wheels- huuuge weight savings there with a 355mm rotor

If you look at it at a power to weight it brings (for example on my car- 250kw/1715kg= 6.86kg/1kw to 250kw/1587kg (hypothetical)= 6.34kg/1kw therefore 8% improvement.

another perfromance avenue so very often overlooked for the sake of "bling" and a documented fact- google it
About $700 not including rubber by the looks of it.

compared to some wheels on the market...ie roh, those prices arent really too bad, roh adrenalins are about that much for those sizes...if not more, so when you look at it that way, its not too expensive

Be nice if they had more of a lip on them, as it would be a shame to have them marked by the occasional gutter knock.

well if you don't let 'inexperienced' people drive it then it shouldn't matter how much lip it has on it

still free postage so its not too bad depending on where u live, besides thats still only $900 a wheel which isn't too bad considering the amount of engineering that goes into making them

Well, not much I can add- Casper stole my thunder with the pic! lol

They are awesome wheels- particularly well made and of course very very light. Prices vary a bit but $650 odd for 18 x 8.5" and YHI Australia is the distributor- anyone stocking Advanti wheels should be able to get them for you- they are the same distributor.

These are the Japanese made Enkei's and really suit the AU so well IMO. The difference in handling and performance with the wheels is well worth the money.

I'm waiting on some pictutres from the other guys- I'm busting to see the rims on other colours and cars. More recently GTP-390 bought some for his GT-P to go racing as well- seems the company's image is gaining momentum in Australia, and so it should. Very very nice wheels

One thing to remember here is, thay are a light weight racing wheel and in that thay will not take bashing through potholes and broken road shoulders etc, as well as a heaver road wheel. As Jim said prices vary a lot so shop around.

Hey Jimt3Te50,

are those rotors you have on your car the DBA 5000 series slotted rotors?
If so how much did they cost you?

Yeah they are mate- when I bought the 1st one a couple of years back they were $500 each- rotor and hat (bit more now though I think)

Replacement rotors (the rings) are about $650/$700 a set with replacement hat nuts and bolts too.

Alot better rotors than the stock Brembo gear IMO.

I need some help locating two more rims as the ones I ordered for the front were out of stock and the replacement items don't fit with the R spec tyre.

I need:

2 off: RP03 18" x 8.5" rim with a +30mm offset.

Can those that have bought these please tell me whom they bought them from so that I can ring them and see if they have any in stock that the importer doesn't know about.

Will even consider secondhand if they are in good condition or can swap for my new RP03's, 18" x 8.5" rim with a +35mm offset.

Thanks

Jason

Beautiful wheel. Can vouch for Enkei's quality, I had RPO2s on my XR6T Ute. 17x8 and 17x9. Exxy, but worth the money. VERY LIGHT

If I was to get serious with track work, I'd be getting the RPO2s.
