I'm in the UK and have just got hold of an AC MK1V CRS. They were made in the UK in 2000. The first 27 had American 302 engines but the last 8 had, they say, Ford Australia 302 motors. Someone tells me that mine is a Ford Australia motor as it has twin coil packs rather than one distributor. Does anyone know when these engines were made and any information at all would be really helpful. With many thanks.

Ford used the 302 from Sep 1991 until Sep 2002, without a huge amount of changes in the run. Have a look in the Windsor V8 area.
That is interesting to hear - harks back to the early 1980s when De Tomaso used Australian Ford V8s! |

Cool, welcome to the forums. If it is a coil pack engine it would be one out of our AU series Falcons, as the E series used distributers. Do you know what ecu the engine is using?

Soz, i should have been more specific, E-series V8's used distributers EF 6's had coil packs, the rest of the 6's were distributers as well.....

The AU Windsor was borrowed from the Explorer, which would also have the coil pack ignition, so its possible it may also be from that.
