Default AU111 Forte!

Just surfing the net and noticed a 02 AU111 Forte, 96000k's, for sale at Pickles Auctions Sydney for $8400 pre auction fixed price. It looks pretty straight and clean from the photos. Would come a treat lowered with a good set of wheels.

When you buy fixed price pickles cars pre auction which out of manufacturers warranty, they still come with the mandatory 3 month dealer warranty which gives you good chance to get any major items fixed.

Sounds like a good price for an AU3 with under 100,000 on the clock.

The auction price would be about $7000.

Just purchased a white 10/05 BA MkII XR6 from Pickles with 39,000 on the clock. Imaculate car as new for $24,000. I purchased it before Auction as it was a standout car and alot of people were showing interest in it. Its really up to you weather you go to auction or not. I hate them so fixed price is for me. They give a 5,000k 3 month warrantee but this one still had new car so all good.

I passed my series III AU to my wife. Still my fav Falcon.

Watch out for the rego on the vehicle. Mine had rego till Dec 2007 but the girl at the counter said we handed in the rego papers so you will have a get a blue slip. I went to the RTA and they said all they want is the invoice as proof of ownership (and fill in the Transfer paperwork)

Blue slip is ok if you want your car checked from top to toe for $48 I suppose.

buy a BA, trust me, you wont regret it... unfortunatly the AU has started to look far too outdated and for what you would pay for one, your better off spending a couple more grand and getting a younger/more attractive car.
thats just my opinion, do what ever you want. but I think your still paying too much for the AU.

LOL... That's good advise, pay more money for a car that's far less reliable, and will no doubt have more k's just so you can say "I have an '04 model Falcon" that sure makes sense!"

:P

I've seen plenty of BA's around the 10k mark at auction.
