Hey guys.
Just need to check something quick. Going to give my parents new Mazda tribute a scrub and i got Meguiars Hyper Wash. It sez Hyper viscous, hyperactive concentrated formula for unbelievable cleaning power that invigorates colour while the hyper foaming action leaves an incredibly vibrant finish. Can be used to complement any Meguiar's Wax. Would this be safe to use on such a new car? Cheers

I'd be careful, depends how many kms are on the car really i'd be a bit wary using it until the car had 10,000kms on it. After that you should be fine

It will be fine I prefer the Bowdens wash but no reason not to use the Megs.

I beleive Meg's NXT Next Generation or Gold Class wash would be better...

Yeah it should be okay. I use the 'soft wash' variant just to be extra safe (I'm a little paranoid though lol).
A little off topic... Wash mitt or sponge? What's better/safer to use? |

I am a recent convert to the lambswool Meguiars mitt. To me the wool has a softer feel that just has to be better for the paint job than an artificial sponge. I also find I don't drop the mitt like I do with a sponge (as it is attached to your hand). I stumbled on to it almost by accident they were $22 at the local autobarn but I picked one up in Kmart recently for $5 as they were clearing the stock. Picked up 2 at that price actually.

Looks like I made the right choice then. I picked up one of those Kenco wash mitts from supercheap for $15.

The Bowdens Own or Aqua Touch microfibre washmitts that forum sponsor www.waxit.com.au sell are great.
The Megs lambswool mitts are very nice but you need to search through all the ones at the store to get the best one as they can be a bit inconsistent you also have to rinse them out & hang to dry after use a give them a good soak before you use them next time as they stiffen up. |

There is a massive variance in the quality of microfibres just because something says microfibre don't assume it's good.
