Default Beating the 32h CannonballRun Record.

Bloody good read.

http://www.wired.com/cars/coolwheels...?currentPage=1

" And so the clock starts and the taillights flare, and they're off again, strapped down, fueled up, and bound on an outlaw enterprise with 2,795 miles of interstate and some 31,000 highway cops between them and the all-time speed record for crossing the American continent on four wheels. "

TuMor,

That is a sensational article -

It goes to show I guess - all the planning in the world does not beat pure raw speed.............

Great read...

Last line sums it up:

Or that this record will surely be beaten, again, sometime, by some other drivers, most probably for reasons they won't understand, either.

I got a better one : ..... www.thegreatamericanrun.com

These dudes started back up the cannonball run in the US in July this year. There was a run in europe and one was meant to happen in Oz but don't think anything eventuated. The winner of these then got free entry to the "final" one in the US. Winner got a Saleen and a wad-o-cash........

How totally insane is that guy (not as in speeding) but as in how obsessed he got, and the german police uniforms, handcuffs ect. lol.

I wish we could detect our police with the crazy jammers/scanners ect. he was using...alas for lasers.
