hi fellas, were heading off from south Oz next year on a pilgramidge(?) to the bathurst 2008. Got a couple of questions to put to you's. our two plans are as follows,
1. drive over in a couple of cars, get some sort of camping type accom for the 4 days head back(the simple version). 2. fly return to sydney($200)ish, pik up 6 berth motorhome for 3 people($400ish each), drive to bathurst camp stay 4 days in MH drive back to sydney. Question is this: who's been there from that far away, drove or flew or both, what do you reckon is the best and the cheapest way to have a great bathurst with accomodation.

Drive. It's only about a 14hr drive from Adders to the Bathurst area and after you get through the Syd airport system it will probably take about the same time
![]() As for staying around Bathurst I'd say start booking NOW. ...A 6berth camper for $400? thats real cheap. I thought most only rented on a weekly basis, starting at around $1000

Hmm, well you can get a REAL nice motel for $240 a night...but dont mind me, I'm cheap
![]() If it was me I'd still go for the driving option. Traffic and Mr Plod is horrendous between Bathurst and Syd during race week.
