i had similar problem with runnin my power lead through the fire wall. I ran it though a hole behind the accelerator, there was a hole that i squeezed it through.

Hope this helps in some way

I don't know if it will fit, but there is a small small hole with a rubber plug in it, near where the steering wheel arm exits the firewall, inside the engine bay.

EDIT: Just beaten to it.

i ran mine through the hole where the bonnet relese cable goes, handy because it goes to the top of the wheel arch where i attached my fuse then runs to the battery.

This is the area you have to look at. What you're looking for is a small rubber plug in a small cylinder. It goes through the firewall and all you do is push it through a slit in the foam in the inside of your car.

The images a from a forums members car. I hope you don't mind.

i might downgrade my wire, mr auxr8 that wire looks to be 8 gauge, my wire is thicker than that, i found that hole but there is no way i could get mine through there. same with the bonnet release cable there is no way i can get it through the grommet.

jmo those pics you have shows the clutch cable hole i cant use that as my car is manual.

Let me know how you go with this. I have the fatter wire you are talking about AUXR8220 going through my clutch cable hole (only just fits through the whole) although my manual goes in mine in 4 weeks when my clutch arrives so i'll need a new spot for the stereo cable

Yea that was the only hole i could find that fitted And it JUST fitted. There was no need for the thicker wire. Im runnin 2 P2 15" Rockfords and Rockford amp and runs perfectly.

Good luck mate

Nice set up. They dont sell rockford much up here anymore. Im running 1 HX2 15'' rockford with 800 watts rms going into it. Have done for 2 years now. Never missed a beat. I want a rockford amp but they dont sell them anywhere up here now.

best place to buy them is off the internet in the states, much cheaper, its where i get all my audiobahn gear from

is there a reason why u dont want drill a hole through your firewall? i run 0 gauge and have to do it, jsut drill a hole and go to a wreckers and take a grommet thats the correct size and put that into your new hole

didnt really want to drill holes but might have to, ive got the system all hooked up now. for the time being i worked out a way how to run the power wire. but its dodgy as lol. ill fix it up tomorrow or saturday.

i did what i did on my eb, but ran the power cable through the rear door. it all works fine, doesnt rub or anything but just looks bad.

I'll have a look under the bonnet & see if I can work out where it goes through. I know it's on the drivers side but as I said Stav put it through so I'd suggest if you ask him nicely he might let you know how he did it assuming it's not a trade secret. :P

Why not run two 8 gauge wires through the smaller holes? Would the total voltage/power they supply combined be the same as a single 4 gauge?

lol this is the set up i did so i could have them working for the time being, until i find a suitable way to run it.

as you can see here the wire runs up the engine bay.

lol this is where it gets dodgy, wire runs down the guard to the top of the side skirt, runs along the side skirt. then gaffa taped up to stop it from getting caughts. (for more experiences with gaffa tape, cable ties, and pop rivets see the e-series section lol.)

it wouldnt clear the door seal on the front door so i ran it through the rear door.

it doesnt rub and where, i barely notice it there. very rare i have rear passengers. lol im coming up with excuses now, but thats probably because it will more than likely stay there for a while

i think your best idea is to drill the firewall and install your own factory style grommet.
