Default Cost from Left to right hand drive

Does anyone here have any idea as to what the cost would be to convert a Mustang from Left to right hand drive, or where would be the best place to take one to, and how long does it take to complete.

Thanks in advance.

Start with a budget figure of about $7500 to $10k for a 'rough and ready' job!
If you are after a 'better than Factory' effort, double that.

If you want the best job possible, PM me and I will give you the name of the Guy, who is in Townsville. He ain't quick, he ain't cheap, he does a stupendous job!

Newer ones would probably be $30k+
Older ones can be done fairly cheap.

In vic too is no probs ..... makes overtaking on highways exciting!!!

From what others have been quoted, older cars 10k plus and new cars 25k plus. I have heard good things from the Mustang Motor Sport in Fern Tree Gully and seen a bit of there work. Havnt driven any but damn they have some great cars up there!

If you were going to have the car reasonable stock I'd leave it left and just cruise it what is essentially a pretty unique car to us ozzies, being a left hooker just seems bit strange.

But there are some good things about it - never worry again about pulling up along side a kerb and trashing those new rims that cost you a couple of thou', Great when driving through bottle shop, Cool when drag racing(better weight distribution), Lets the missus thinks she's driving without actually letting her drive the car!

Alot of the people who charge up around the 10k mark usually do a front end rebuild including painting the engine bay, new brakes etc plus the conversion.

I drove my old Stang around for 4-5 years left hooker and found it wasn't all that bad when driving it as it was mainly a cruiser anyway, but nows its off the road and I just thought i'll stick all R.R.S through front and back including the stearing rack and the 3 link so essentially it will be a new steering, new handling car for around the same price -bit more maybe, where as you getting the car converted for 10k will only give you the same handling car but you now drive it on the right side. They'll change your original dash to RHD or you could go find a later model dash to fit in the same area.

Gee we could spend the cash in so many directions

Lots of LHD cars and trucks in the UK. Been there a lot, dont seem to recall seeing death and destruction, arms legs on the side of the road etc. They also like to speed over there.

If you drive acordingly its not an issue.
