Default SYDNEY - Ideas thread

Come on Sydney!! The other states are talking, they're saying NSW is boring!
So lets set 'em straight. Posted this thread to help sort out what we want to do, a Cruise or another Social get together?

Cruise can be anywhere, North, south, west, plenty of options. If you vote cruise feel free to suggest a few places.

Social day, can be a BBQ like we did before, a nighttime meet/friendly get together. Possibilities are endless! Drive in nights, BBQ, Krispy Kreme meet/Harry's, WSID race night, Go karts.

So Sydney, what do you want to do? We could do a combination of these or something completely different.

Got an idea feel free to post it up and lets see where we go.

How about a cruise followed by a another BBQ like we did at Camden last year which Greg organised....Or just a picnic lunch.....A Sunday would be preferred by most i'm guessing

Hey guys, i'm back!. haha
Been gone for an eternity but i finally have the new drums and am ready to start work on the car again. WOOHOO!!!

I agree....the BBQ in Camden was tops last year but i'm not fussed really. As long as it gives everyone a chance to catch up and drool over everyone's rides, then it's all good by me

Someone mentions a BBQ and you emerge out of the darkness again
Been wondering when you were coming back, have spotted you about half a dozen times this year, but I'm always in someone elses car!

Yeah I left it so you can pick both options for those who don't care either way. Or want to do both.

What about a Cruise to the Gong. Say meet at loftus oval cruise through the Royal National Park stop at Lawrence Hargrave Memorial Park for pics ect, than keep cruising down into the gong for lunch at the marina. Just a suggestion.

Kinda disappointed that i'll have nothing new to show off next time we meet up......or will i?

So when are you looking at doing something? Or are you just trying to gauge interest from ppl?

Just gauging interest at the moment Mark, looking to see if people are more interested in a cruise or a meet and greet. So far it looks like a bit of both :P . Will try and aim for late April or early may, probably a sunday.
Can't go wrong with national park Greg! Maybe a cruise down to Dapto Go-karts?

Speaking of people who are back from Hiatus, I thought I might stick my nose back in again (been away...again... and spending too much money on the little car). I'm keen for whatever, as long as it has a social atmosphere, I'm in.

Im keen for a meet with the bseries folk to give a bit of euro flavour. Been too long. Lets set a date?

4 sundays away? i like the sound of the gong. Easy for the inner city guys to get to and easy enough for the guys in the west to get to aswell.

Sunday the 26th of April. Sound good for everyone?

We can do a cruise down through natio, stop off for a bite to eat and a gassbag (Gregs sugestion), then from there depending on time or how everyones feeling we can go for a drive to Robertson via Macquarie Pass, grab a pie and then cruise home.

Nothing huge, just a casual sunday drive, say a 10am meet?

Just suggestion guys, feel free to change them around. Karts are good, but are expensive and not for everyone, we might revive the B Series Karts meet up after this cruise.

I will definatly still be over .05 after ANZAC day (it's a AJ thing...) but would still be keen for weekend 18th-19th if it's not too soon for everyone.

Good point, forgot about Anzac day. Long weekend, Double demerits, more Police, definitely not what we need.

I think the 19th might be the Go then. Any objections?

Nice suggestion BDave351, what time do they serve until? Wasn't planning on starting too early on a Sunday.

i'd do the ANZAC weekend. More ppl seem to be available too so it'd be better.
I don't think there are double demerits either. Will have to double check though.
Shouldn't matter anyway for us law obiding drivers. haha

Alright, who's for Anzac day weekend? :
The 19th doesn't work for me either but I was just going to put up and shut up if I was the only one.
